The Inventory of Psychotic-Like Anomalous Self-Experiences (IPASE): an easy tool for investigating Self-Disorders, subjective experiences and global functioning

Introduction Self Disorders (SDs) are regarded as the subjective phenotype of Schizophrenia vulnerability. The EASE (Examination Anomalous Self-Experiences) scale is most detailed and widely used instrument to investigate SDs, but it requires long administration times specific training. IPASE (Inventory Psychotic-like might be a self-administered widespread use for an easier SDs investigation. Objectives present study was aimed at validating Italian version IPASE, testing its internal consistency usability first level survey. A secondary objective confirm correlations between EASE, main symptom dimensions, bodily experiences, symptoms schizophrenic autism well levels global functioning. Methods Fifty patients with were administered in version, Examination Self-Experiences (EASE), Positive And Negative Symptoms Scale (PANSS), Social Occupational Functioning Assessment (SOFAS) assess functioning, Autism Rating (ARS) Abnormal Bodily Phenomena questionnaire (ABPq). investigated ABP, ARS, PANSS SOFAS explored. Results high (α 0.97). total scores positively correlated each other, many conceptually related subdomains both scales. score negatively functioning negative domain. Moreover, dimension (ARS), while anomalies experience lived body coherently higher “somatization” subdomain. Conclusions may easy initial investigation SDs. domains appear through symptomatologic dimensions Schizophrenia, particular symptoms. also useful experiences concerning intersubjectivity dimensions. confirmed core feature schizophrenia psychopathology, adverse impact on Disclosure Interest None Declared
